Canon PowerShot SD4000IS 10 MP Cheapest Prices Reviewed by Peeeeter (USA)
S4000 two weeks before he left, I bought the SD1200. I waited for the SD4000 and SD1200 intended to return. How does it compare? First the pros:
- SD4000 is very sharp wide angle from the center to the edge (much better than SD1200 and SD850)
- ISO400 and 800 is actually very usable (great improvement over the SD1200 and more compact)
- Nice screen
Now, against:
- When you zoom to 3.8x, the picture quality was very soft. Or in other words: do not cut. To be clear, I had to crop to 100% for it or to compare side-by-side. And I'm not talking about digital zoom does. Just look at the photo left me stunned: soft, fuzzy, not sharp, just terrible. I went in-camera sharpening, but it was not enough. It 'was really ugly.
- It's not as compact as you might like (rather long and that the SD1200 is much more compact)
- As mentioned in other reviews, menus and buttons makes navigating bulky (many do, baby face super-sensitive).
Since the images in x 3.8 was completely useless, he had no intention of listening. To my surprise, I when I miss a wide angle SD1200 and SD4000 top ISO higher. Maybe it was a bad copy? Note: There is an analysis rather than complaining about the softness, so it should be unique.
I will try extra archetype after the event that the same amount and Canon added familiarization with him.
Quite simply, I admit that a genius, because the camera was naively unusable. As mentioned, the look is acceptable for adults, but agreed to confirm the account is not the camera of a genius in my opinion. And 'my camera replacing native (and I own 6! 2SLRs, a 12x zoom, 3 tablets).
